Anne Elicaño is a regional online editor for an international development organization. Her writing has been published by The Guardian online, BBC Radio Times online, CNBC Business magazine, CNN Traveller magazine, and many more.

Anne was  the first place winner of the 2007 UNESCO/ Goi Foundation of Japan international essay competition and was on the British Chevening scholarship shortlist. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Sheffield, where she graduated with Distinction  in 2010.
